Minister of Public Health Holds High-Level Meeting on Monitoring Health Facility Construction Projects
The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, held a high-level meeting in his office with officials from the Ministry’s Construction Affairs Directorate.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including the Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration Affairs, H.E. Qari Abdul Wali Sediqi; the Deputy Minister for Health Promotion and Policy, H.E. Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghiasy; senior advisors; and relevant directorate officials. The participants held detailed discussions on the monitoring and oversight of ongoing health facility construction projects across Afghanistan.
They also reviewed plans for the construction of new office spaces and other construction works within the Ministry’s compound, and discussed proposals to expand the Directorate’s organizational structure in order to enhance coordination and strengthen oversight mechanisms.
Furthermore, officials from the Construction Affairs Directorate delivered a comprehensive presentation, providing detailed briefings on the aforementioned areas and calling for increased cooperation and support.
During the meeting, the Deputy Ministers and senior advisors shared their views and put forward recommendations. The Ministry’s leadership underscored the importance of proper planning, effective implementation, and ensuring robust supervision of health facilities. They also reaffirmed their commitment to reviewing the proposal for expanding the Directorate’s structure and stated that necessary steps would be taken in line with available resources.
