Deputy Minister of Health Services Inspects Omari Camp in Torkham to Review Healthcare for Returnees

The Deputy Minister for Health Services of the Ministry of Public Health of the IEA, Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, during his visit to Nangarhar, inspected the designated Omari Camp in Torkham for returning citizens.

During this visit, the Deputy Minister for Health Services closely reviewed the services being provided at the Omari Camp health centers and the 20-bed emergency hospital for returnees. He also instructed the health workers to ensure the delivery of quality health services to the returning compatriots, while treating them with care and respect.

The Deputy Minister further identified the existing problems and needs of the health centers and the 20-bed emergency hospital in Omari Camp and shared them with the relevant officials to find solutions. He also urged the officials of the Nangarhar Public Health Directorate to pay serious attention to the returnees, in addition to addressing the health concerns of the earthquake-affected compatriots.
