It was organized by the Drug Use Prevention and Awareness Programme of Ibn-e-Sina 1,000-Bed Drug Treatment Hospital, Ministry of Public Health. During the programme, students received awareness-raising information on the importance of prevention and health education, the role of young people in building a healthier future, the importance of preventing substance use and dependence, risk factors that may contribute to young people’s vulnerability to drug use, the importance of refusing drugs, the protective role of families and peers, ways of addressing social risk factors, and the adverse health and social consequences of drug use.
The school administration and teachers expressed their appreciation for the initiative, emphasizing that such awareness and prevention programmes can play an important role in reducing young people’s vulnerability to substance use and preventing drug dependence.
