For the first time, various laparoscopic surgical procedures were successfully performed at Balkh Regional Hospital

Over the past week, Dr. Shams-ur-Rahman Tani, a surgical specialist at Balkh Regional Hospital, and his team successfully performed around 70 laser and laparoscopic surgical procedures, covering a range of different operations.

Surgical specialist Dr. Shams-ur-Rahman Tani said that laser and laparoscopic procedures reduce treatment time and costs, shorten hospital stays, and allow patients to return to their normal lives more quickly.

Previously, these procedures were performed through open surgery, resulting in longer treatment and recovery periods for patients.
