The meeting was attended by H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health; H.E. Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, Deputy Minister for Food and Drug Affairs; H.E. Qari Abdul Wali Sediqi, Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration Affairs; Sheikh Mohammad Tahir Halim, Chief of Staff; and representatives of traditional medicine from the centre and the provinces.

During the meeting, the Minister of Public Health stated that significantly more work has been accomplished in the field of traditional medicine compared to the past. He added that the Ministry has achieved notable progress in both modern and traditional medicine and is committed to further standardising this sector to enhance public confidence and trust.

H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali also briefed the participants on the Ministry's achievements in advancing traditional medicine and its future plans for the sector. He called on all stakeholders to support the Ministry's efforts to standardise traditional medicine by fully implementing the relevant laws and guidelines.

Meanwhile, H.E. Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, Deputy Minister for Food and Drug Affairs, described the implementation of the Traditional Medicine Law as an effective measure for preventing fraud, smuggling, and other irregularities, while promoting the standardisation of traditional medical practice across the country. He emphasised the importance of stronger coordination and strict implementation of the relevant laws and guidelines and urged participants to fulfil their responsibilities with sincerity and a strong sense of duty.

The programme continued with comprehensive presentations by H.E. Qari Abdul Wali Sediqi, Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration; Mawlawi Sayed Haroon Azad, Director of Traditional Medicine under the AFDA of the Ministry of Public Health; and representatives of traditional medicine from the centre and the provinces. They discussed future plans, ongoing activities, achievements, the implementation of relevant laws and guidelines, and efforts to further standardise the traditional medicine sector.
