The Environmental Health Directorate of the Ministry of Public Health conducted public awareness campaigns in various areas of Kabul Province to prevent Congo fever

These programs aimed to prevent Congo fever by raising public awareness. Informational posters were shared with butchers, livestock traders, and the general public, and placed in different public areas.

These programs also focused on raising awareness about preventing the disease from spreading through ticks and animals, the use of gloves during slaughter, and other essential safety measures.

Officials from the Environmental Health Directorate stressed that the aim of these programs is to prevent the spread of Congo fever, protect people at risk, and reduce deaths caused by this dangerous disease.
