The Ministry of Public Health Organized a Public Awareness Ceremony on Patient Safety and Care

The ceremony, held under the slogan “Safe Care for Every Newborn and Child,” was attended by central directors of the Ministry of Public Health, directors of central hospitals, representatives from the World Health Organization, and health workers.

At the ceremony, Dr. Wahdat Alokozay, Director of Curative Medicine at the Ministry of Public Health, emphasized that patient safety in hospitals is essential and called it a key measure to reduce mortality, particularly among newborns.

The Director General of Curative Medicine also outlined the activities undertaken by the Ministry in this area and highlighted future plans.

Dr. Aminullah Momand, Director of Specialized and Tertiary Hospitals at the Ministry of Public Health, urged health workers to prioritize patient safety to further improve treatment standards.

After the ceremony, officials visited the newborn ward of Malalai Hospital and provided healthcare workers with necessary recommendations on patient safety.
