MoPH Conducts Comprehensive Health Facility Inspections in Balkh to Boost Service Quality and Accountability

Balkh, Afghanistan — Dr. Karimullah Halimi, Director of Oversight at the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), carried out a comprehensive inspection tour of several government and private hospitals across Balkh province. The visit is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality and transparency of healthcare services nationwide.
During the mission, Dr. Halimi, accompanied by a technical team, met with Alhaj Rahmatullah Mansoor, Director of Public Health for Balkh province, to discuss the goals of the inspection and to coordinate implementation strategies. The team visited health facilities in the districts of Zari, Sholgara, Dehdadi, Dawlatabad, Chahar Kint, Kishindih, Kaldar, and Nahr-e-Shahi.
The inspection focused on evaluating service quality, identifying shortcomings, and assessing infrastructural and operational challenges within these centers. Following the assessments, the oversight team communicated targeted recommendations to local health authorities to address deficiencies and enhance healthcare delivery.
In addition to facility evaluations, Dr. Halimi reviewed the condition of inpatients and emphasized the importance of compassionate care. He urged medical staff to increase their efforts in responding to patients’ needs and improving treatment outcomes, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring high standards of patient care across the country.
