The Ministry of Public Health’s Deputy Minister for Food and Drugs, Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, met with representatives of companies importing medicines from various countries at his office.

The meeting covered medicine prices in the market, displaying prices on medicine packaging, measures to prevent the hoarding of medicines, ensuring the availability and supply of quality-assured medicines, and ensuring an adequate supply of essential medicines needed in the country.

The Deputy Minister for Food and Drugs emphasized the importance of cooperation and support from medicine-importing companies, stating that the Ministry of Public Health will provide the necessary cooperation and support to these companies within the framework of the principles and regulations of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

The representatives of medicine-importing companies also shared their concerns and recommendations with the Deputy Minister for Food and Drugs. The Deputy Minister assured them that their concerns would be addressed and that the necessary support and cooperation would be provided.
