MoPH Deputy Minister Meets Uzbek Health Officials to Expand Bilateral Cooperation
During his official visit to Uzbekistan, the Deputy Minister of Food and Drugs of the Ministry of Public Health, Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, accompanied by a delegation, met with Uzbekistan's Deputy Minister of Health and the Director for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Abdullah Azizov.
During the meeting, the two sides held discussions on expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, health products, and food, as well as on the exchange of expertise, transfer of technical knowledge, enhancement of technical capacity, expansion of trade relations, and strengthening joint cooperation.
The Deputy Minister of Food and Drugs expressed his gratitude for the official invitation and warm hospitality extended by the authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan and underscored the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation, exchanging expertise, transferring technical knowledge, and enhancing technical capacity to improve the quality of pharmaceuticals, health products, and food.
The officials of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan also presented the capacities, achievements, and regulatory systems of their country's pharmaceutical industry and health products sector. They expressed their readiness to expand technical cooperation with the MoPH of Afghanistan, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and implement joint programs, while reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
