The Ministry of Public Health, in cooperation with the Red Crescent Society, the Provincial Government, and relevant Aid Organizations, has established a joint coordination committee at the military base in Khas Kunar district to better manage, coordinate, and organize health services and other essential facilities for the earthquake-affected residents of Kunar.

The joint committee will oversee the systematic collection and equitable distribution of food aid at this base, as well as the establishment of a mobile health center and a temporary camp. Through this center and camp, earthquake-affected people will not only receive primary and emergency health services but will also be provided with a safe place to stay.

The purpose of establishing this committee is to provide timely, organized, and effective health services, food supplies, and shelter to earthquake-affected families, in order to promptly address their needs and improve their living conditions.
