MoPH Holds Online Coordination Meeting with Public Health Directors from Western and Southwestern Provinces
The Deputy Minister for Health Services of the MoPH, Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, held an online meeting with the provincial directors of public health from the western and southwestern zones.
The meeting was attended by several central directors of the Ministry of Public Health, representatives of relevant directorates, and the Directors of Public Health from Badghis, Uruzgan, Herat, Helmand, Kandahar, Nimroz, Ghor, and Farah provinces. The meeting aimed to strengthen coordination between the central and provincial health authorities, assess existing challenges, and take the necessary measures to ensure the effective implementation of health programs and the timely delivery of health services at the provincial level.
The provincial officials also shared their challenges, needs, and concerns with the central officials and put forward a number of proposals. The central officials responded to their concerns and assured them of their continued cooperation and support in addressing the challenges.
Furthermore, the Deputy Minister stressed the importance of close cooperation and coordination among the relevant authorities and instructed provincial officials to formally submit their challenges and requests to the central authorities through the Provincial Health Coordination Directorate, so that appropriate solutions could be identified and the issues addressed in a timely manner.
