MoPH Lays Foundation Stone for Tani District General Hospital in Khost
Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, Deputy Minister for Health Services of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, laid the foundation stone for the Tani District General Hospital during his visit to Khost Province. The hospital will be constructed at a cost of AFN 50 million.
A ceremony was held to mark the occasion, attended by Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani and his accompanying delegation, the Director of Public Health of Khost Province, provincial officials, and local elders.
The hospital project is valued at AFN 50 million, with five jeribs of land allocated for its construction. The project is expected to be completed and inaugurated within 14 to 18 months.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani described the project as an important step toward expanding access to healthcare services for residents of the district, addressing their primary healthcare needs, and delivering quality medical services. He said, "The construction of such hospitals will strengthen healthcare services in remote districts and improve people's access to timely, quality, and standard medical care."
He further reaffirmed the Ministry of Public Health's commitment to providing equitable and high-quality healthcare services across the country, adding that the ministry will continue its efforts to further improve health services and strengthen healthcare standards nationwide.
