Several Health Projects Worth AFN 3.5 Million Handed Over for Use at Worsaj Comprehensive Health Center in Takhar

The projects were implemented through the efforts of the Takhar Provincial Public Health Directorate and with financial support from the Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS). They were officially handed over during a ceremony.

The projects include the construction of a new maternity ward building, provision of medical equipment for the laboratory and blood bank, renovation and painting of the health center building, construction of a perimeter wall, and several other development projects.

Mawlawi Sheikh Mir Sadam, Director of Public Health of Takhar Province, expressed his appreciation for the continued support and attention of AKHS, saying that implementing such infrastructure projects to expand health services and meet the needs of the people is encouraging and reassuring.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ikramuddin Yousufzai, Central Director of Health Services at the Aga Khan Foundation, said that the implementation of these projects at the Worsaj Comprehensive Health Center would contribute significantly to improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare services for the local residents.
