The IEA’s Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, visited several specialized healthcare facilities during his official visit to Russia, including a hospital specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, a hospital providing obstetric, gynecological and neonatal care, a center for research and innovation in cancer medicines, and centers for emergency response and medical emergency management.

The minister received information on advanced medical technologies in Russia’s healthcare sector, new approaches to cancer diagnosis and treatment, research and innovation in cancer medicines, and systems for managing medical emergencies.

The discussions also covered the exchange of healthcare experiences and information between Afghanistan and Russia, the use of modern medical technologies, capacity building for healthcare workers, and the expansion of cooperation in various areas of health.
