Minister of Public Health Meets with Representatives of UNFPA, IOM, and WHO

The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, met in his office with representatives from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the World Health Organization (WHO).

During the meeting, participants discussed provision of health and development services in Afghanistan by the IOM, the efficient management of health resources and assistance, the integration of health facilities, alignment with the new policy, delivery of services in accordance with the Ministry’s policy, prioritization of services, and continued coordination in all relevant areas.

In his remarks, H.E.  Jalali emphasized transparency and adherence to ministry priorities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of health services. He stressed the proper management of existing international aid and the delivery of services in accordance with the National Health Policy.

The representatives of the organizations pledged to maintain continuous and effective coordination. They confirmed that all services in Afghanistan would follow the policies and principles of the Ministry of Public Health.
