2,700 Kilograms of Expired, Counterfeit, and Contaminated Food Seized in Herat Province

Officials from the General Inspection Department of Food Production and Import Facilities of the Herat Public Health Directorate inspected nine food warehouses and shops located in District 5, Behsud Road, in the United Brothers Market.

During the inspection, 25 types of items comprising 294 packages, weighing approximately 2,700 kilograms of expired and counterfeit food products, were identified and confiscated and handed over for destruction through legal procedures.

In addition, two food warehouses were sealed due to the presence of a large quantity of expired products.
