A public awareness program on drug prevention was held at Sayed Noor Mohammad Shah Mina High School in Kabul, attended by more than 2,000 students
The program, organized by officials from the Drug Treatment and Awareness Department of the MoPH-affiliated Ibn-e-Sina 1,000-bed Hospital, highlighted the importance of raising awareness, the role of youth in building a healthy future, the importance of preventing addiction, and the underlying causes of substance abuse.
Participants were also provided with information on the role of families and peers in prevention, strategies to address risks from a social perspective, and the negative impact of addiction on society.
Officials and teachers at the High School also welcomed the program, describing such initiatives as effective in preventing drug abuse.
