New Health Center Opens in Helmand Province with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Support
A new health center in the Yakhchal region of Nahri Saraj district in Helmand Province has been completed at a cost of 25 million and 50 thousand Afghanis and is now operational.
At the inauguration ceremony of the health center, attended by Helmand Governor Mawlawi Amanuddin Mansoor, Public Health Director Dr. Naqibullah Fateh, and other officials, the Director of Public Health said that building such health centers plays an important role in reducing people’s health problems. He added that with the activation of the Yakhchal health center, residents of Nahri Saraj district will benefit from standard, timely, and essential health services.
The center was constructed on five jeribs of land with financial support from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and is equipped with various healthcare facilities.
