In his official office, the Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, met with Dr. Edwin Ceniza Salvador, Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Afghanistan, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, discussions focused on international support for Afghanistan’s health system, the activities of the polio laboratory, the implementation of new initiatives in the health sector, and strengthening coordination to ensure the effective implementation of various health programs.

The Minister of Public Health, H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, stated: “We are fully committed to strengthening the country’s health system and are working to ensure that quality healthcare services are provided to all citizens through cooperation with international partners.” He also discussed the World Health Organization’s upcoming programs and provided the necessary guidance and recommendations on relevant matters.
