Two Solar Power Projects Commissioned for Hospitals in Samangan Province
Two solar power projects at district hospitals in Darah-i-Sof Bala and Darah-i-Sof Payan, Samangan province, were inaugurated and commissioned with a total investment of USD 300,000, funded by UNDP.
Each project installed a 100-kilowatt solar system at the 20-bed hospital in Darah-i-Sof Payan and the 30-bed Bazar-i-Sukhtah Hospital in Darah-i-Sof Bala.
The systems comprise 180 solar panels, five 20-kilowatt inverters, and 18 10-kilowatt batteries per facility, supplying electricity to over 150,000 local residents.
Local officials and UNDP representatives highlighted the significance of infrastructure projects and their role in enhancing healthcare services.
