Handover of 15 Health Centers by UNHCR to Ministry of Public Health Discussed in Coordination Meeting
A meeting was held between officials from the Ministry of Public Health’s Directorate of International Relations and Aid Coordination, and the UNHCR to hand over 15 comprehensive health centers.
During the meeting, technical discussions were held on the handover of these health centers, which were constructed by the UNHCR, to the Ministry of Public Health. It was also noted that the organization will provide medical and non-medical equipment for 11 of the centers.
The Director of International Relations and Aid Coordination of the Ministry of Public Health, Mawlawi Mohammad Dawood Mansoori, thanked the UNHCR and said the centers will improve healthcare access. He urged their swift handover so services can begin and benefit the public.
He added that standard equipment should be procured for these health centers and that the transfer and installation process must be carried out with full care and precision to ensure the quality of services.
Meanwhile, representatives of the UNHCR thanked the MoPH for its effective coordination and cooperation. They stated that a total of 20 health centers have been constructed, of which 5 have already been handed over, while the remaining 15 will be transferred in the near future.They added that 11 of these centers will each be equipped with medical and non-medical supplies worth around $200,000.
