300 kW Solar Power System Inaugurated at Zahra Bayat Hospital, Daikundi Province

Dr. Mohammad Ghani Samim, Director of Public Health in Daikundi Province, announced during the inauguration that a 300-kilowatt solar power system, valued at USD 300,000, has been successfully implemented by UNDP. He emphasized that it would resolve the hospital’s electricity problems.

Dr. Samim expressed profound gratitude to the Ministry of Public Health and its partner institutions for their commitment to improving health infrastructure. He described the project as a significant milestone in advancing sustainable energy solutions within the province’s healthcare system.

The UNDP representative thanked local authorities for their cooperation in realizing the project and reaffirmed the organization’s intention to undertake further initiatives in the health and education sectors across Daikundi Province.

In conjunction with this event, the hemodialysis unit of Daikundi Provincial Hospital was also formally inaugurated, marking another step forward in expanding critical healthcare services in the region.
