Afghanistan’s Minister of Public Health Meets Iranian Ambassador to Discuss Health Cooperation

The Minister of Public Health of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, met with Iranian Ambassador Ali Reza Bigdeli in the Minister’s office.

The meeting, attended by the Governor of Bamiyan Province, Mullah Obaidullah Sarhadi, local tribal elders, and other officials, focused on strengthening Afghan health workers’ capacity, providing medical equipment to hospitals, and reviewing the development of hospitals in Kabul’s Afshar area and Bamiyan Province. Discussions also included enhancing skills in oncology and other key medical fields.

Minister Jalali emphasized capacity-building, supplying medical equipment, importing quality medicines and modern devices, domestic vaccine production, and operational plans for the new hospitals.

Ambassador Bigdeli assured continued cooperation in the health sector and reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to bilateral collaboration.
