Afghanistan’s Minister of Public Health Visits State Medical University in Belarus to Strengthen Academic Cooperation

Afghanistan’s Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, and his accompanying delegation visited a state medical university in Belarus during their official visit to the country.

The discussions focused on medical education, professional capacity building, the exchange of scientific knowledge and expertise in the health sciences, and the expansion of health and academic cooperation between the two countries.

Emphasizing the importance of medical education and professional capacity building, the Minister of Public Health stated that the Ministry is working to strengthen cooperation with reputable academic institutions in the areas of health professionals’ capacity development and the exchange of scientific knowledge and expertise.

The university’s officials also emphasized the importance of expanding academic and professional cooperation with Afghanistan’s health sector and expressed their readiness to cooperate in the areas of medical education, research, and professional capacity development for health workers.
