Ankara – Dr. Fazlullah Seerat, Health Attaché at the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Turkey, convened high-level meetings with senior officials from Lokman Hekim University and Hospital in Ankara, as well as with Professor Dr. Mustafa Qasim Karahocagil, President of Ahi Evran University in Kırşehir.

The engagements focused on broadening opportunities for Afghan students in medical education, enhancing institutional coordination, and facilitating specialist training across various medical disciplines. Discussions also encompassed joint academic initiatives, collaborative scientific events, and expanded healthcare provision for Afghan nationals residing in Turkey.

Dr. Seerat conveyed the core challenges faced by Afghan students and patients, urging deeper cooperation in clinical training, pharmaceutical accessibility, and curriculum standardization to ensure equitable access to quality education and healthcare services.

Professor Karahocagil expressed strong support for reinforcing bilateral ties in education and healthcare, reaffirming his institution’s commitment to sustained engagement with Afghan scholars and continued assistance to Afghan patients.
