First Administrative Affairs Meeting of the Afghanistan Food and Drug Authority (AFDA) Held for the 1448 AH Fiscal Year
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Minister for Food and Drug of the Ministry of Public Health, Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, and was attended by central directors, department heads, and officials from various departments of the Food and Drug Authority.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister stressed the importance of interdepartmental coordination, expediting service delivery, promptly addressing challenges, and maximizing the effective use of available resources and capacities.
Officials from the various directorates and departments presented the challenges, needs, and other relevant issues related to their respective areas. The participants held comprehensive discussions on these matters, made the necessary decisions, and assigned the relevant directorates responsibility for their follow-up and implementation.
The meeting also emphasized strengthening coordination among the directorates, expediting administrative processes, removing existing bottlenecks, and improving the quality of services related to food, medicines, and health products.
It is worth noting that the Administrative Council of the Afghanistan Food and Drug Authority convenes on a monthly basis to strengthen institutional coordination, ensure the timely resolution of challenges, make consultative decisions, and review the implementation of its activities.
