Foundation Stone Laid for Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) Building in Kunar

The foundation stone for the EPI building was laid by officials of the Kunar Public Health Directorate, with financial support of AFN 15.9 million from UNICEF.

The building is being constructed to improve the management and coordination of EPI activities, provide appropriate facilities for vaccine storage, and facilitate the effective implementation of health activities. Once completed, the facility will strengthen the capacity to deliver immunization services.

Qari Muzaffar Khan Mukhlis, Director of Public Health of Kunar, underscored the importance of developing health infrastructure and providing appropriate facilities for vaccine storage. He also emphasized the importance of supporting the implementation of health infrastructure projects in the health sector.
