The foundation stone has been laid for the construction of a new building for the Pashad Sub-Health Centre in Sarkano district of Kunar province, at a cost of 2.2 million Afghanis.

The project is being funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with construction work now officially underway. The facility is expected to be completed within the next three months. Once operational, the new centre will provide essential healthcare services to between 3,000 and 7,000 residents in the area, significantly improving access to medical support in this remote region.
