Ghor Drug Addiction Treatment Hospital Expands Capacity from 20 to 40 Beds

The capacity of the Ghor Drug Addiction Treatment Hospital has been increased from 20 to 40 beds at a ceremony attended by the Provincial Director of Public Health, a representative of the provincial governor’s office, officials from various government institutions, and representatives of health-sector partner organizations.

Officials from the Ghor Provincial Public Health Directorate described the expansion as an important step toward strengthening healthcare services, increasing the hospital’s capacity to admit patients, and improving access to treatment for people affected by drug addiction.

The ceremony also highlighted the importance of providing effective and professional services to patients and strengthening coordination among relevant institutions to address the health and social challenges associated with drug addiction.
