Meeting Held to Develop National Accreditation Standards for Public Hospitals

Under the leadership of Dr. Mohammad Hasan Ghiasy, Deputy Minister for Health Promotion and Policy of the Ministry of Public Health, a meeting was held with technical officials from relevant departments and WHO to develop national accreditation standards for public hospitals and to strengthen the provision of quality healthcare services.

Dr. Mohammad Hasan Ghiasy emphasized that implementing national standards in public hospitals will improve service quality, enhance patient safety, and strengthen public trust. He added that the Ministry of Public Health, with relevant institutions and international partners, is committed to effective implementation and continuous monitoring.

Abdul Hadi Safi, Senior Standards and Survey Specialist of the Executive Directorate of the National Accreditation Authority, presented the national hospital standards, and participants provided technical feedback. It was decided that implementation will start in Kabul hospitals and later expand to other provinces.
