Minister of Public Health Meets Chinese Ambassador to Discuss Reconstruction and Modernization of Key Hospitals

The Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, met with the Ambassador of China to Afghanistan, Mr. Zhao Xing, and his accompanying delegation in his office.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the reconstruction, expansion, and equipping of Kabul Al-Shifa Hospital and Kandahar Mirwais Regional Hospital with state-of-the-art medical equipment.
His Excellency, the Minister of Public Health, emphasized the importance of strengthening the health system, building the capacity of health workers, expanding health services, and equipping hospitals with modern technology. His Excellency described these measures as essential and, as a result, called for greater attention to the reconstruction of Mirwais Regional Hospital. He also shared several suggestions regarding Kabul Al-Shifa Hospital.
In response, the Chinese Ambassador reaffirmed his country’s continued support and pledged to assist in the reconstruction, capacity building of health workers, and the provision of modern medical equipment for these hospitals. He further noted China’s commitment to providing comprehensive cooperation for Al-Shifa Hospital.
