Minister of Public Health Restarts Construction of 200-Bed Provincial Hospital in Kunar
The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, has relaunched construction work on the 200-bed Provincial Hospital during an official visit to Kunar.
The ceremony was attended by Kunar’s Governor Mawlawi Qudratullah Abu Hamza; Provincial Health Director Qari Muzaffar Khan Mukhlis, and local officials, elders, and religious scholars. Speakers highlighted the importance of restarting the project
The hospital building, which had remained unfinished, will now be completed using the Islamic Emirate’s internal budget at a cost of nearly 278 million Afghanis.
H.E. Jalali said the facility will provide the people of Kunar with modern and reliable healthcare services—fulfilling a long-standing public demand, adding that the leadership of the Islamic Emirate has given special attention to meeting this public demand.
Provincial Health Director Qari Muzaffar Khan thanked the ministry for addressing local needs and said the project will significantly improve healthcare access in the province.
