Ministry of Public Health Introduces Health Information Management System for Private Healthcare Facilities

This system was formally presented to attendees in the presence of His Excellency Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health; His Excellency Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, Deputy Minister for Healthcare Services Delivery; along with central directors of the ministry and representatives of Kabul’s private hospitals.
The Minister of Public Health, His Excellency Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, hailed the launch of the Health Information Management System in private healthcare facilities as a significant milestone and a transformative step in the country's health sector. He urged private hospital administrators to ensure the seamless integration of this system within their facilities.
Furthermore, the Minister acknowledged and appreciated the contributions of the private healthcare sector, emphasizing its role as an integral and robust component of the Ministry of Public Health.
His Excellency further stated: "We are committed to bridging existing gaps and, based on precise health data collection, making informed and strategic decisions to develop long-term policies and frameworks for both the private and government health sectors."
Continuing the session, the Deputy Minister for Healthcare Services Delivery, His Excellency Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, extended his gratitude to all contributors involved in developing the Health Information Management System. He highlighted the commendable efforts of the private healthcare sector, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to aligning the system’s implementation with private healthcare providers. "Our goal is to systematically collect accurate and timely health data, which will serve as a foundation for evidence-based planning and critical policy-making in the future," he added.
Additionally, the Director General of Monitoring and Auditing, Dr. Enayatullah Enayat, underscored the pivotal role of the Health Information Management System in enhancing the quality of healthcare services, formulating both short-term and long-term strategic plans, preventing diseases, and promoting public well-being. He emphasized the imperative need for its implementation across private healthcare facilities to ensure efficient health governance and service delivery.
