MoPH Conducts Seven-Day Training Workshop to Strengthen Capacity of Healthcare Workers
The General Directorate of Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Public Health conducted a seven-day training workshop aimed at strengthening the capacity of healthcare workers.
During the training program, attended by 90 healthcare workers from Logar Province and Maidan Wardak Province, participants received training on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, early diagnosis and treatment, patient referral mechanisms, the management of patients with non-communicable diseases, and the provision of health counseling services.
Dr. Mohammad Sami Karimi, Director of Non-Communicable Disease Prevention and Control of the MoPH, highlighted the important role of doctors and community healthcare workers in preventing and controlling non-communicable diseases. He also urged participants to share their knowledge with colleagues in clinics and hospitals, in order to further expand training opportunities in this area.
