MoPH Holds Meeting in Farah on Enforcement of Anti-Drug Smuggling Law and New Pharmaceutical Regulations
A meeting was held at the Farah Provincial Governor's Office on the enforcement of the Anti-Drug Smuggling Law and the implementation of the new pharmaceutical regulations.
The meeting was chaired by Mawlawi Mohammad Salim Haqqani, Director of Internal Audit of the MoPH, to discuss the effective enforcement of the Anti-Drug Smuggling Law and explain the new pharmaceutical regulations, which have been endorsed by the leadership of the IEA.
The meeting was attended by officials from the Food and Drug Association, representatives of pharmaceutical companies, and wholesale medicine distributors. In addition to providing a comprehensive briefing, Mawlawi Mohammad Salim Haqqani emphasized the strict enforcement of the Anti-Drug Smuggling Law, compliance with the new pharmaceutical regulations, the prevention of the import and distribution of illegal and substandard medicines, and close cooperation between the private sector, the MoPH, and other relevant institutions.
Participants also shared their views, recommendations, and existing challenges. They held comprehensive discussions and exchanged ideas on effective measures to further regulate the pharmaceutical market, ensure the availability of quality-assured medicines, and safeguard public health.
