MoPH Inspection Delegation Reviews Infectious Diseases Hospital and Health Facilities in Herat
During an official visit to Herat Province, Mawlawi Mahmoodullah Zahid, Director of Health Regulations Implementation and Inspection of the Ministry of Public Health, accompanied by a technical delegation, conducted inspection visits to the province's 100-bed Infectious Diseases Hospital, the Tuberculosis and Laboratory Departments, and the pharmaceutical warehouse.
During the inspections, the quality of healthcare services, patient care, staff attendance and discipline, the availability and management of medicines and medical equipment, laboratory services, hygiene, the reporting system, hospital cleanliness, and infection prevention and control (IPC) measures were assessed in line with the Ministry of Public Health's standards. The delegation also emphasized quality service delivery, adherence to infectious disease control protocols, effective use of available resources, and the provision of standard healthcare services.
The delegation also met with patients and healthcare workers, listened to their feedback on service quality, staff conduct, and existing challenges, and emphasized accountability, transparency, and respect for patients' rights.
