MoPH Launches Public Awareness Campaign on Roadside Food Safety in Kabul

Officials from the Environmental Health Directorate of the Ministry of Public Health conducted a public awareness campaign in Kabul City's First District under the slogan “Clean Food, Health for All” to help prevent diseases associated with food sold along roadsides.

The campaign aimed to raise public awareness of proper food hygiene practices during the preparation, purchase, and consumption of food. As part of the campaign, officials from the Environmental Health Directorate delivered public awareness messages to residents and urged them to purchase food only from vendors who adhere to health and hygiene standards.

In addition, officials from the Environmental Health Directorate emphasized the importance of properly storing both hot and cold foods. They also advised the public to seek immediate medical attention at the nearest health facility if they develop symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, fever, or severe abdominal pain.
