MoPH Minister Visits Specialized Cardiac Care Center and Polyclinic in Belarus

Afghanistan’s Minister of Public Health,  Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, and his accompanying delegation visited a specialized cardiac care center and a polyclinic during their official visit to Belarus.

The delegation learned about the center’s experience in the diagnosis, treatment and surgical management of cardiovascular diseases, the use of modern medical equipment, the provision and organization of specialized health services, strengthening the capacity of specialists in cardiovascular care, and standardizing health services.

The delegation also visited a polyclinic to learn from Belarus’s experience in further strengthening polyclinic service centers for hospitals being established in Afghanistan and in developing and organizing their structure in accordance with established standards.

It is worth noting that the purpose of reviewing the activities and working practices of these facilities was to gain practical experience in improving the organization of health service delivery in Afghanistan, strengthening coordination between hospitals and polyclinics, and expanding standardized health services.
