MoPH Signs $3.1 Million Agreement with AHDS to Expand Maternal Health Services

The Ministry of Public Health signed a contract worth USD 3,102,887 with Afghan Health Development and Services (AHDS) to provide maternal health services through health facilities in Uruzgan, Nimroz, Kandahar, and Helmand provinces.

The one-year contract was signed with the aim of improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare services and addressing the health needs of the local communities. Under the contract, 372,999 residents of the aforementioned provinces will have access to healthcare services through 85 health facilities, while 626 people will be provided with employment opportunities in the healthcare sector.

Representatives of AHDS also pledged to implement the project in full compliance with all established standards throughout the one-year period and to give special attention to addressing the healthcare needs of local communities.
