New Director Appointed to Paktika Provincial Public Health Directorate

Following a recommendation by the Ministry of Public Health and approval by the Office of the Prime Minister, Mr Mirza Ali Khan has been appointed as the new Director of the Paktika Provincial Public Health Directorate.

He was formally introduced to provincial health officials and staff by Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, Deputy Minister for Health Services of the Ministry of Public Health.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Minister described appointments and transfers as an integral part of the Islamic system and called for greater efforts to address public needs, improve healthcare delivery and strengthen the health sector.

He also called on provincial health personnel to extend their full cooperation to the newly appointed director to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of institutional responsibilities.
