New Directors of Public Health Appointed for Bamyan and Daikundi Provinces

On the recommendation of the Ministry of Public Health and by the directive of the Office of the Prime Minister, Dr. Jawad Hakimi, the former Director of Public Health in Bamyan, was appointed as the Director of Public Health for Daikundi Province, while Dr. Mohammad Ghani Samim, the former Director of Public Health in Daikundi, was assigned as the Director of Public Health for Bamyan Province.

The appointment ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghiyasi, Deputy Minister for Health Promotion and Policy, members of his delegation, healthcare staff, provincial officials, community leaders, and representatives of implementing agencies.

The Deputy Minister described reshuffle of officials as a fundamental principle of the Islamic system and stated: “Strengthening the healthcare system and improving service delivery is a core priority of the Ministry of Public Health, particularly in remote areas. Public support, coordination among partner institutions, and the Ministry’s clear policy framework provide a solid foundation for reforms, and these areas must receive special attention.”

He further wished the newly appointed directors success in their responsibilities and urged them to prioritize effectiveness and coordination of health services based on integrity, justice, professional accountability, and a spirit of public service.
