AFDA Leadership Meets with Chinese Investors to Discuss Expanding Cooperation in the Pharmaceutical Sector

Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, Deputy Minister for Food and Drug of the Ministry of Public Health, along with the AFDA’s technical team, met and held discussions with Chinese investor Dr. Han Shuyong and his accompanying delegation.

Both sides discussed and exchanged views on expanding economic and technical cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector and pharmaceutical raw materials, investment opportunities in Afghanistan, sharing expertise, using new technologies, and further strengthening cooperation.

The deputy minister welcomed the Chinese delegation and appreciated their interest in investing in Afghanistan. He emphasized that, within the framework of applicable laws and regulations, the AFDA will support lawful and standard investment in medicines, food products, and health products, and will provide the necessary facilitation in this regard.

At the end of the meeting, the Chinese investors expressed satisfaction with investment opportunities in Afghanistan and their readiness to expand cooperation in medicines, pharmaceutical raw materials, and related health sectors, as well as to explore joint investment opportunities.
