MoPH Deputy Minister Holds Coordination Meeting with Public Health Directors of the Eastern and Southeastern Zones
Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, Deputy Minister for Health Services of the Ministry of Public Health, held an online meeting with the Directors of Public Health from the provinces of the Eastern and Southeastern Zones.
The meeting was attended in person by a number of central directors of the MoPH and representatives of the relevant dirctorates, while the Directors of Public Health from Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, Nuristan, Khost, Paktia, and Paktika provinces participated virtually. The meeting was convened to strengthen coordination between the central and provincial health authorities, assess existing challenges, and identify the necessary measures to ensure the effective implementation and timely execution of health programmes at the provincial level.
The provincial officials raised their challenges, needs, and requests with the central authorities and put forward a number of proposals. The central authorities responded to the issues raised, reaffirmed their commitment to providing the necessary support, and assured the participants that the identified challenges would be addressed.
The Deputy Minister also emphasized the importance of close cooperation and coordination and instructed the provincial officials to formally communicate their challenges and requests to the central authorities through the Directorate of Provincial Health Coordination, so that appropriate solutions could be identified and the issues addressed in a timely manner.
