Second Health Innovation Board Meeting Held to Advance Practical and Sustainable Healthcare Solutions
The second meeting of the Health Innovation Board was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghiyasi, Deputy Minister for Health Development and Policy.
The meeting was attended by several central directors of the MoPH and representatives of relevant directorates. The Deputy Minister said that the field of innovation requires proposals that can help properly identify real challenges and provide practical, cost effective and sustainable solutions to address them.
He identified the key stages in implementing innovative proposals as identifying challenges; developing solutions and ideas; conducting technical assessment and research; setting priorities; finalizing the proposal; developing an implementation plan; mobilizing the required resources and assigning responsibilities; implementation and monitoring; and evaluating and scaling up successful initiatives. He stressed the importance of organizing these stages accurately and systematically.
Dr. Sayed Rasool Mangal, Director General of Planning and Policy of the MoPH, also said that initiatives implemented to promote innovation should be continuously monitored and evaluated to determine the extent to which their intended objectives have been achieved and the expected results delivered.
Participants were briefed on the report and objectives set during the previous meeting. Presentations were also delivered on the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), innovative activities, and their areas of implementation, followed by an exchange of views among the participants
