The cornerstone for the construction of the emergency health services department laid in the 200-bed provincial hospital of Jawzjan

The Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has laid the cornerstone for the construction of a 200-bed provincial hospital in Jawzjan, with a budget allocation of 25 million Afghanis designated for the establishment of an Emergency Health Services Unit. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Deputy Administrative Assistant of the Prime Minister’s Office, Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi; the Governor of Jawzjan, Qari Gul Haider Shafaq; the Public Health Director of Jawzjan, Qari Zabihullah Hussaini; alongside several other provincial officials.

During the event, Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi expressed his satisfaction with the initiation of this vital healthcare project. He reiterated the Islamic Emirate’s unwavering commitment to delivering superior healthcare services to all citizens, across various sectors. He further elaborated that 25 million Afghanis from the Islamic Emirate’s internal budget have been allocated to ensure the completion of this department, with construction already underway and the project expected to become operational in the near future.

Additionally, Hanafi noted that the unit will be equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology and essential medical supplies, which will significantly enhance healthcare services for the residents of Jawzjan, addressing many of their pressing health concerns.

On a related note, Qari Zabihullah Hussaini, the Public Health Director for Jawzjan, stated that the establishment of this unit will enable the provision of a broad range of medical services, including X-ray, ultrasound, emergency medical care, emergency surgery departments, greatly improving the healthcare landscape in the region.
