The General Directorate of Specialty at the Ministry of Public Health organized a comprehensive six-day training program aimed at equipping medical interns with essential research methodologies.
The program’s primary objective was to impart crucial research techniques, familiarize interns with fundamental medical terminology, and guide them in drafting monographs and theses on significant medical issues. Additionally, it covered other vital subjects relevant to interns enrolled in specialty programs.
The session was graced by the presence of Mullah Bakht-ur-Rahman Sharafat, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Public Health; Dr. Nisar Ahmad Niazi, the Director of Specialty Program; as well as esteemed professors and interns from multiple central hospitals.
In his address, the Deputy Minister underscored the importance of such educational initiatives in enhancing the research capacity of specialty program interns and strongly encouraged them to capitalize on the opportunity for their professional development.
Sharafat further emphasized that the advancement of both individuals and society is intrinsically tied to research and effort, a notion long affirmed by Islamic teachings. He urged the need for concerted efforts to align the nation’s healthcare system with global standards.
It is noteworthy that this educational program is not limited to interns in central hospitals but will also be extended to the provinces, ensuring its wider impact.
