Helmand Public Health Directorate Conducts Over 5,000 Inspections in 1404

Monitoring and inspection officials of the Helmand Public Health Directorate conducted 5,077 inspections in the provincial center and districts during the 1404 solar year to ensure the quality of medicines and food items and the enforcement of health regulations.

Inspections were conducted at 2,956 pharmacies, 430 pharmaceutical wholesalers, 180 private health centers, 120 clinics, 220 cosmetic establishments, 591 food outlets, and 226 food manufacturing companies.

As a result of these inspections, 209 pharmacies were temporarily closed due to violations of health regulations, and 2,640 items of expired medicines were collected.

Additionally, 280 expired items were collected from private health centers, clinics, and cosmetic establishments, while 1,760 expired and substandard food items were collected from food stores and manufacturing companies.

During these inspections, 86 health cards and 87 professional operational cards were distributed, and 4 operating licenses were issued to pharmaceutical wholesalers.
