Launch of Private Hospital Accreditation and Grading Process in Kabul

The accreditation and grading process for private hospitals has officially begun at the French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children Hospital in Kabul. The launch ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister for Health Services of the MoPH, Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, the Director General of the Medical Council, Dr. Faqir Mohammad Ziyar, along with several other officials.

The aim of the accreditation and grading process for private hospitals is to improve the quality and safety of healthcare services provided in these hospitals, based on established accreditation standards.

Speaking at a ceremony held for this purpose, the Deputy Minister said that the Ministry of Public Health has launched the hospital evaluation process based on scientific standards to improve service quality and ensure patient safety. The process is being carried out by a trained professional team after necessary preparations.

The Director General of the Medical Council said at the ceremony that the accreditation and grading process for hospitals has been launched to promote healthy competition, improve standards, and ensure transparency in services. He added that no fees will be imposed during this initial phase until the process is completed, allowing hospitals to provide better services to patients.

Notably, the accreditation and grading process for private hospitals will, in the first phase, be implemented in the capital and later extended to all private hospitals in the provinces.
