Private Health Sector Monitored in Balkh Province

Officials from the Monitoring and Inspection Department of the Balkh Provincial Public Health Directorate inspected 207 private healthcare facilities across various areas of the province. As a result, 15 pharmacies, 10 wholesale pharmacies, 4 hospitals, 43 clinics, 12 laboratories, 2 X-ray centers, 9 OPD clinics, and 6 traditional medicine centers were closed for violating applicable health laws and regulations.

Furthermore, during the inspections, 159 types of expired and substandard medicines were collected and transferred to a designated location for proper disposal.
